Last week was full of learning:

We have our reading block up and running using the "Daily 5" model.  Each day we have rotations that are made up of different reading and writing "dailies".  The dailies that we have practiced so far include: read to self, work on writing, word work, and listen to reading. On Thursday, we were able to start our dailies where each group works independently while I've been giving reading assessments.  We talk about how important it is to "work the whole time" and the kiddos have been so awesome following the expectations we talked about during dailies.  I can't wait to get all of the assessments finished so I can then start our small group reading instruction!

Happy Birthday Grace!

Grace brought cupcakes for us to celebrate her birthday on Friday!  Thank you Grace's family for the treats!  They were delicious!
